Hi, I’m Jill — the hands behind The Soaproom.

My journey into soapmaking began with a desire to create something meaningful — something rooted in purpose, care, and intention.

I had always appreciated quality skincare and admired the beauty of handmade soap, but it wasn’t until I was diagnosed with a form of lymphoma that everything shifted.

That experience changed how I viewed time, care, and the little things in between. It gave me a deeper appreciation for the things we often take for granted and a desire to live with greater purpose.

As I began thinking more carefully about the products I used, I found myself wanting something specific: products made with quality ingredients, thoughtfully formulated, and created with the kind of care I believed should go into the things we use every day.

I searched for products that reflected that feeling, but I couldn’t quite find what I had in mind. So I decided to create them myself.

What began as an idea became a year of research, learning, testing, and development. I spent that time carefully considering ingredients, developing formulations, and learning the craft of soapmaking. I wanted to create products that felt beautiful to use, but also reflected the standards I had set for myself.

That is how The Soaproom began.

Today, The Soaproom has grown beyond the soap that started it all. What began with handcrafted bar soap has become a growing collection of bath and body products, each inspired by the same desire that started my journey: to create products I genuinely wanted for myself and my family, and to share with others.

I’m grateful for the journey that brought me here, and I’m honored to share The Soaproom with you.
